Eric Richard
Athletic Therapy
I completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University in 2017. During this time, from 2014-2017, I worked as a Student Trainer for the Saint Mary’s University women’s and men’s hockey teams with an interest in pursuing athletic therapy further in the future. During my degree I began coaching CrossFit as a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer at Ironstone Strength and Conditioning, and have been coaching group classes and personal training since 2016.
My passion for helping individuals return to their daily activities and is stronger than ever. I believe that movement is an incredible tool that anyone and everyone can use to make their lives better. My goal when working with clients is to identify how their movements may be leading to pain and discomfort and give them the skills and tools to come back to a place of function. When we get clients moving properly under the appropriate loads and volumes, their quality of life will increase greatly and they will be better equipped to move forward with their sports, occupations, and hobbies. I am not here to “fix” clients, but to give the tools they need to help themselves and continue pursing whatever their finish line is.
