PT

I graduated from Dalhousie University with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy in 2016. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University in 2014. During my schooling in Halifax I volunteered as a therapist alongside the Saint Mary’s Men’s Varsity Hockey team for two years and with the Citadel High School Football team for one year. Since University I have furthered my education in concussion management and vestibular treatment. I currently possess a certificate as a Complete Concussion Management Healthcare Practitioner and have a strong interest in managing and providing treatment to individuals who suffer from acute and post-concussion problems. Furthermore, I have a strong interest in managing patients that suffer from dizziness and vertigo symptoms. Currently, I have an interest in completing a fellowship of Manipulative Physical Therapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. This program demonstrates advanced clinical expertise and specialized training in Manual and Manipulative Therapy. My volunteer experience has also seen me work with a variety of sports teams in PEI and Nova Scotia at varying levels from major midget hockey to the national basketball league of Canada in Charlottetown, PEI.

I originally grew up in Sussex, New Brunswick, however, schooling at Dalhouise University has led to Halifax now being called home. I live an active lifestyle that shows interest in hockey, curling, running and cycling. My treatment approach is very hands on and personable. I love to educate clients about their injuries as I believe the more you understand about your injury the better you can control and resolve your symptoms. I put a strong emphasis on not only your symptoms but finding the root of the problem. This in turn will not only aid your initial injury but mitigate future flare ups. I look forward to working with clients to meet their rehabilitation goals, and welcome clients of all ages and physical abilities.
